Gadar 2 Box Office Collection Day 27: Sunny Deol Film Breaking all the Records, 600 Crore+.

Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s movie, ‘Gadar 2,‘ has achieved remarkable success at the box office since its release, breaking several records. Initially, the film performed exceptionally well, which was expected. ‘Gadar 2’ faced tough competition when it clashed with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Oh My God 2’ on August 11. However, after 27 days in theaters, on September 6, it collected less than Rs 1 crore. ‘Gadar 2’ finally graced the big screen after a long wait of 22 years as the much-anticipated sequel to ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ (2001).

Recently, ‘Gadar 2,’ starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, crossed the impressive milestone of Rs 500 crore at the box office. However, its collection has since slowed down significantly. On September 6, which marked the movie’s fourth Wednesday in theaters, it earned its lowest collection yet, garnering just Rs 50 lakh at the Indian box office.

The film is currently struggling to reach the Rs 510 crore mark. Its future performance remains uncertain, especially with the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ today, September 7. ‘Gadar 2’ continues the story of Tara Singh as he embarks on a daring mission to rescue his son, portrayed by Utkarsh Sharma, who has been captured in Pakistan.

Set in Lahore in 1971, ‘Gadar 2’ successfully carries forward the captivating action sequences of its predecessor while depicting Tara Singh’s unwavering determination to combat the forces sowing discord between India and Pakistan.

This movie serves as a sequel to ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha,’ a 2001 film that unfolded against the backdrop of the Partition of India in 1947. It is loosely based on the story of Boota Singh, a former soldier in the British army, known for his tragic love affair with Zainab, a Muslim girl he rescued during the communal riots of the partition era.

The film featured Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in lead roles, with notable performances by Amrish Puri and Lillete Dubey.
